Reliable over time

I've been a Time Doctor user for a few years now, across different projects. This latest renewal for the annual plan was as smooth as always. I appreciate the consistency. The Payroll Integration is a lifesaver every month. I tried a competitor once, but came right back to Time Doctor because it just works without fuss. It's dependable for keeping tabs on my remote contractors. No surprises, which is what you want in these tools.

Good for tracking time

I used Time Doctor for my remote team. The Employee Time Tracking worked well. Setup was easy enough. Got the data I needed quickly. It helped us see where time went.

Reliable tracking every time

This is my third year using Time Doctor for my remote design business. I originally started with the basic Employee Time Tracking, but quickly upgraded to include Productivity Monitoring and Web and App Usage Tracking. Every time I renew, the process is seamless. The data consistency is why I stick with them; I know exactly what to expect from the daily productivity reports. It just works, every single day.

Detailed tracking and insights

My team started using Time Doctor a few months ago for our remote setup. The initial setup process was straightforward, and integrating it with our existing project management tools was surprisingly smooth. We mainly use the Automated Screenshots and Web and App Usage Tracking features. Delivery of reports is consistent; Daily Productivity Reports land in my inbox every morning. Customer support was responsive when I had a question about customizing the Work Schedules for different team members. The only minor issue I had was understanding some of the metrics in the Real-time Dashboards at first glance, but a quick read of their help docs cleared it up. Overall, it's a solid tool for monitoring productivity.

Smooth setup, good data

I signed up for the Time Doctor free trial last month to test out their Employee Time Tracking and Project Management Integration for our small remote team. The onboarding was fairly straightforward, the desktop application installed easily on Windows and Mac. I found the real-time dashboards really helpful for seeing who was working on what. The automated screenshots were a bit much for some of my team at first, but the productivity reports gave us good insights. Customer support responded within a few hours when I had a question about setting up client login access. Overall, it provided the workforce analytics I needed without too much hassle.

Love this for my team!

Time Doctor is amazing! We started using it for our virtual assistants and it's been a game changer. The Attendance Tracking and Work Schedules features helped us so much. I can easily see who's working and when. It really improved our team's accountability. Definitely shopping here again and recommending it to everyone!

Good tool, slow support

Signed up for Time Doctor. Tracking works well. Screenshots are helpful. Had a question about payroll integration, took 2 days for an answer. Otherwise, solid product.

Fair value, some glitches

I signed up for Time Doctor's annual plan after trying the 14-day free trial. I was looking for something to track my freelancers, and the annual discount made it seem like a good deal. The pricing felt reasonable for the features offered, especially compared to some alternatives. However, the Mobile App Tracking was a bit buggy on one of my team's phones, which was a minor annoyance. For the cost, it does get the job done for basic monitoring and attendance tracking, but I expected slightly smoother performance across all platforms.

Just started looking at Time Doctor. Is there any kind of free trial or something so I can test it out before committing?

N Nick 4 weeks ago
Yep, they have a 14-day free trial. I used it to see if it fit our workflow before signing up for a full plan. No credit card needed, I think.

J James Thompson 3 weeks ago
Totally, a two-week trial. Enough time to get it set up and see if your team likes it. My boss made us all use it for a week before he pulled the trigger.

Wondering about different plans for Time Doctor. Are there big feature differences between them or mostly just user limits?

B Brittany Wright 1 month ago
There are definitely feature differences, not just user limits. Some of the higher tiers get you things like client login access or more advanced payroll integrations. You gotta check their pricing page to compare the exact breakdown.
3
R Richard Ramirez 1 month ago
Yeah, the cheaper ones are pretty basic. If you want all the bells and whistles like white labeling or full API access, you'll need one of the more expensive plans. The base one is good for just time tracking though.

Thinking of signing up for Time Doctor. What's the deal with pricing? Is it per user, or a flat fee for the whole team?

S Sam Rivera 4 weeks ago
It's per user, per month. But you get a decent discount if you pay annually instead of monthly. And if you have a big team, they might do custom pricing.

J Jacob S. 3 weeks ago
Definitely per user. I think most of these services are like that. The annual billing is where you save the most money for sure.

My team is spread out and some folks have spotty internet. Does Time Doctor still track time even if someone goes offline?

M Megan L. 1 month ago
Yeah, it does actually. It tracks everything offline and then syncs it up to the cloud once you're back online. So you don't lose any data.

C Chris Torres 1 month ago
Totally. I've had to work from some weird spots with no wifi and it still tracked my time perfectly. Uploads it when you reconnect.

I'm setting up Time Doctor for my company, and trying to figure out the best way to save some cash. Do they ever have like, Black Friday deals or seasonal sales on their subscriptions?

E Elizabeth Smith 1 month ago
They do sometimes! I snagged a good deal around November last year, definitely keep an eye out for Black Friday type stuff. And always go annual for a decent chunk off.
2
H Hannah Campbell 1 month ago
Yeah, November and January are usually good for SaaS deals. I think they usually offer some extra percentage off on the yearly plans during those times. Otherwise, just going annual saves you 20% right away.

Hey guys, so I'm thinking about switching from Toggl Track to Time Doctor for my small remote team. Anyone used both and can tell me if Time Doctor is actually better for monitoring and stuff?

A Adam Clark 1 week ago
Yeah, I've used both. Toggl is good for basic time logging but Time Doctor takes it up a notch with the screenshots and app usage. If you're serious about seeing what people are actually doing, TD is way more detailed.
6
L Linda Sanchez 1 week ago
For just tracking hours, Toggl is fine. But if you need more like, 'are my VAs actually working or just browsing cat videos,' Time Doctor is probably the one you want. The reporting is way more in-depth too.

Does Time Doctor do that thing where they automatically take screenshots of your desktop? Kinda worried about privacy if it's constantly snapping pics.

D David Torres 1 month ago
It can, yeah. It's an optional feature though. Our team has it turned on but you can configure how often and if it blurs sensitive info. I think it notifies you too.
2
N Nancy Sanchez 4 weeks ago
They do have a screenshot feature. You can turn it off though, or set it to interactive mode where you have more control. It's not just silently taking pics all day unless you want it to.

If I get the annual plan and then decide it's not working out after a few months, can I cancel and get a refund for the unused time?

E Ella Phillips 1 month ago
I'm pretty sure you can cancel anytime, but their refund policy is usually only for the first 30 days or so. After that, you just stop getting charged for future renewals, but don't get money back for what you've already paid for on an annual plan.
2
B Ben Martin 1 month ago
Yeah, cancelling is easy. But for a refund on an annual plan, you'd have to check their specific policy, but typically it's only a short window after purchase. Best to use the free trial to be sure.
